IESA was established in 1965 in the oil-producing nation of Venezuela. The school’s founders created the private, nonprofit institution to establish a source of business talent that would facilitate the country’s development as it profited from the oil industry. As oil prices rose, both the private and public sectors of Venezuela expanded, and the school’s growth followed the growth of the economy.
The annual meeting of the Social Enterprise Knowledge Network (SEKN) was held in Buenos Aires on May 25th and 26th, with attendance of professors and researchers from the following Latin American institutions: University of São Paulo (Brazil) ), INCAE (Costa Rica), Universidad de los Andes (Colombia), ESPAE Graduate School of Management ESPOL (Ecuador), ESADE (Spain), EGADE-Tec de Monterrey (Mexico), Universidad del Pacífico (Peru) and Universidad de San Andres (Argentina), which served as the host school; on behalf of IESA (Venezuela), Professor Rosa Amelia González attended the event.
A power shift, via elections or regime collapse, is essential to rebuilding the country.
Based on the results of the 2013-2014 Eduniversal Best Masters Ranking, IESA is among the best schools in the Latin American region, due to the quality and recognition of its Master's degrees.
According to a survey conducted among clients in the region, including large corporations that hire in-company programs, IESA turned out to be the third school in satisfaction and program orientation, besides having a high perception of strategic impact.
IESA's Academic Department organized a conference which included economist Francisco Rodríguez, who conversed with professors and entrepreneurs on Venezuelan politics and economics, and shared his impressions on the current situation in general.
IESA's professor and academic director Rosa Amelia González presented the case of the transformation of Bogotá city as a successful experience in the local sphere in Latin America, within the framework of the VIII National Research Congress and II International Research Congress of Universidad de Carabobo, the past October 31st.
IESA celebrated 30 years of managerial training adapted to the Venezuelan reality thanks to the Advanced Management (PAG for its acronyms in Spanish), a leading option in the nation for superior management studies.
What makes the learning experience at IESA different from that in other schools is the substance that backs the learning process: the research conducted, the analysis of real-life cases and being in contact with avant-garde topics to avoid lagging behind.
An example of solidarity and permanent collaboration with the development and success of his students and colleagues, a man enamored with, and concerned for his country, always looking towards the new generations and an active participant in the training of future generations, mentor to many -including Professors- and last but not least, an animal lover.
