Facilities and Services

The IESA is very much aware that effective leadership in today's business world requires attention to increasingly complex issues, stemming from the organization's internal and external environment, as well as to issues posed by modern conceptions of business and leadership. With the best teachers in the country, IESA offers internships, free workshops and many opportunities while you are studying, with an academic offer of excellent postgraduate and executive training courses based on a teaching philosophy where the student is the focus of the learning process. 

Preparation Steps

• Ask for information about IESA at your home school.
• Access IESA’s exchange website and Fan Page on Facebook and explore all aspects related to the exchange process.
• Inform your school about your interest about IESA. 
• Receive information and get in touch with the Students Services Office to pose all your questions and requirements.
• Receive the acceptance letter from IESA.
• Travel arrangements: If students wish to be picked up at the airport, send the itinerary to our e-mail: exchange-iesa@iesa.edu.ve at least two weeks before arrival. Most convenient time to arrive: between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on a weekday.
• Visa: Once you have been admitted to the exchange program and the partner institution notifies IESA, the Students Services Office will send a request through the Venezuelan Consulate nearest to your residence. You will be notified once the visa is approved. You need to secure the visa, passport in hand, at the specific consulate. 
• Assistance for lodging: receive suggestions about where to stay, options according to your preferences.
  
• Receive your personal login and password to access e-mail and other online services.

Once you are at IESA

• Right from your arrival, present  yourself at the Students Services Office to start your experience at IESA and to comply with some formal processes, such as courses selection and registration.
• Get to know the campus with the school walking tour to get familiar with facilities and services.
• IESA will offer you the opportunity to talk about your school to local students that might be interested in participate.
• "Tell me more about your experience": While studying at IESA, you will have the opportunity to participate in institutional activities. Some of them are testimonials, reports, participation in “Let's talk…” events and even become an IESA’s ambassador.

Saying farewell to IESA

• You will be taken to the airport by a representative from the Students Services Office or by a volunteer local student.
• IESA’s Students Services Office will send the official grades transcripts to the corresponding unit in the student’s school.
• You will remain part of IESA with access to the community, as other exchange and local students, faculty, employees, and others. Also you could receive bulletins and communications issued by the school.

Venezuela

Officially República Bolivariana de Venezuela, is a federal republic located on the northern coast of South America. Has its boarders with Colombia on the west, Brazil on the south, Guyana on the east, and the islands of Trinidad and Tobago to the northeast. Venezuela's territory covers around 916,445 km² (353,841 sq mi) with an estimated population around 33,221,865. 

Venezuela is considered a state with extremely high biodiversity (currently ranks 7th in the world's list of nations with the most number of species), with habitats ranging from the Andes Mountains in the west to the Amazon Basin rain-forest in the south, via extensive llanos plains and Caribbean coast in the center and the Orinoco River Delta in the east. That makes it the perfect place to explore, travel and learning about things that are quite difficult to repeat in other places.
