The IESA is very much aware that effective leadership
in today's business world requires attention to increasingly complex issues,
stemming from the organization's internal and external environment, as well as
to issues posed by modern conceptions of business and leadership. With the best teachers in the
country, IESA offers internships, free workshops and many opportunities while
you are studying, with an academic offer of excellent postgraduate and
executive training courses based on a teaching philosophy where the
student is the focus of the learning process.
The methodology of the
courses varies from one professor to the other. Normally, they work with
things like presentation of theory and practice (by the teacher and special
guests), class discussion of reading assignments, case discussions, role-plays,
and individual and group projects, among others. Things like student
participation in class can be take into consideration for the final grade.
There is no
language requirement beyond good communication skills in Spanish. Courses at IESA are taught in Spanish, with some reading materials in
English. Exchange students have the option to take their written exams, and

Venezuela
Officially República
Bolivariana de Venezuela, is a
federal republic located on the northern
coast of South America. Has its boarders with Colombia on the west,
Brazil on the south, Guyana on the east, and the islands of Trinidad
and Tobago to the northeast. Venezuela's territory covers around
916,445 km2 (353,841 sq mi) with an estimated
population around 33,221,865.
Venezuela is considered a
state with extremely high biodiversity (currently ranks 7th in the world's
list of nations with the most number of species),with habitats ranging from
the Andes Mountains in the west to the Amazon
Basin rain-forest in the south, via
extensive llanos plains and Caribbean coast in the center and the Orinoco
River Delta in the east. That makes it the perfect place to
explore, travel and learning about things that are quite difficult to repeat in
other places.
Caracas
Caracas is a city of contrasts. Even at first sight, striking differences are obvious, with skyscrapers wrapped in reflective glass towering over colonial structures with tile roofs in the city's center. Haphazardly constructed, slum-like ranchos climb up the hillsides and serve as a backdrop, along with the impressive mountains of El Ávila, for the beautiful, but chaotic city.
Transport
Metro and Metro Bus
Monday to Sunday from 5:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. The Metro system is interlinked with a network of MetroBuses whose fleet of smart vehicles serves the outlying areas. A flat-fare covers both the bus and Metro ride. Tickets can be purchased at ticket boots in any of the system's well-marked stations.
Ticket Simple: All stations, one way trip.
Ticket Single and Return: All stations coming and goind, regardless of the distance.
Ticket Multiabono: 10 one way trips, regardless of the distance.
TicketMultiabono Integrado Urbano: 10 one way trips on Metro and 10 one way trips on MetroBus.

The best way to know more about the experience, is asking people who lived it!
"I
loved my exchange experience at the IESA for everything I learnt about the
socio-economic situation of Venezuela and because of people I met, which gave
great value to my personal growth. This is going to be one of the experiences
that I´m not going to forget in my life. I hope to come back soon to the
country.”Elena Elia, Universita Bocconi, Italia.
“Sincerely
I can say that I fell in love of Venezuela… and, despite the complexity of the
current situation, I always felt good here, thanks to welcoming, warm and happy
people to interact and share with me.”Manon De Horta, KEDGE Business School, Francia.
